Winner of 6 Tony Awards (in 2002) including Best Musical, Best Choreography and Best Costumes, Millie centers around a daring small town girl who arrives in 1920's era Manhattan to marry for money instead of love. Based on the 1967 film starring Julie Andrews, Mary Tyler Moore and Carol Channing, the musical Millie features music by Janine Tesori, lyrics by Dick Scanlan and a book by Richard Morris and Scanlan. Millie will be directed and choreographed by SMTC executive producer and theatre veteran, David Hock with long time valley musical director Christie McKibben handling the music end of the show. The 20-piece orchestra will be conducted by Adam Stich, Artistic Director of ProMusica Arizona and Director of Music at SCC.
