The 4th Annual Celtic Harvest Festival Set for 9/29

The 4th Annual Celtic Harvest Festival Sedona, September 29, 2012 at Poco Diablo Resort, will feature a Fairy Village or Tir na n'Óg (Land of the Young) created by Canyon Moon Theatre. Producing Artistic Director, Mary Guaraldi says, "We're creating a magical place for children and families where imagination can play and have fun." Some translations of the Gaelic mean "Land of re-born Warriors" so Ms. Guaraldi is planning some challenges for young warriors, as well as fun activities for fairies, princes and princesses. Meet the Fairy King and Queen, complete their challenge and become a Knight or a Lady. Play dragon ring toss, create a fairy wand, meet the Tir na n'Óg water serpent. Come in costume and have your picture taken with the Dragon!

Making this all possible, are two local businesses; Village Chevron on SR 179 in the Village and Mooney's Irish Pub in the Hillside Shops, Sedona. Fountain drinks purchased at the Village Chevron on the weekend of September 14, 15 and 16 will benefit the Celtic Harvest Festival Fairy Village and all monies raised from fountain drinks will be matched by Ken Saxe, owner of Mooney's Irish Pub! Tony and Kristen Pugliano, owners of the Village Chevron have enlisted the help of Pepsi Company of Flagstaff to donate all the cups and supplies. Tony says, "My wife and I have always been grateful to this community for their support and we want to help the children and families who are our neighbors! We feel the Celtic Harvest Festival is a great time for the kids as well as an opportunity for the community to get out and meet each other. "

So work up a thirst on the trails, in the shops or just "because" and stop in to Village Chevron for a cold drink especially on those days to support this traditional community event. All proceeds from the Celtic Harvest Festival Sedona go to our local schoolchildren through the Celtic Arts in Education Fund. This year 4 Sedona schools will have Celtic Arts workshops over a three day period in September.

Thank you to the community for making this traditional Celtic Festival possible and all our donors and sponsors! For more information: www.celticharvestfestival.com or visit www.facebook.com/Village-Chevron-Cottonwood-76
