PCA Presents THE PRODUCERS, Now thru 6/29 (6/13/2013) - Prescott Center for the Arts presents THE PRODUCERS by Mel Brooks & Thomas Meehan, directed by Catherine Miller Hahn. The production will run tonight, June 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 & 29, 2013 at 7:30 and June 16 & 23, 2013 at 2:00. Tickets are $22.00 for evening and $18.00 for matinee.

LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE Returns to Scottsdale Center, Now thru 6/16 (6/4/2013) - The international hit play Love, Loss, and What I Wore will return by popular demand to Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts for a limited engagement tonight, June 4-16. The all-star cast features Dee Hoty (Mamma Mia!), Sabrina LeBeauf (The Cosby Show), Amanda Setton (The Mindy Project), Zuzanna Szadkowski (Gossip Girl) and Dawn Wells (Gilligan's Island).

Fountain Hills Theater Stages THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, Now thru 6/2 (5/17/2013) - Fountain Hills Theater has announced the opening of the classic musical comedy, The Pirates of Penzance. Stash the gold! Guard the women! Hide the rum! The 'Pirates' have arrived! Set sail across our stage on this swashbuckling Gilbert and Sullivan adventure loaded with enough laughs to fill Davey Jones' locker. It follows the fortunes of Frederic, a young lad who is mistakenly apprenticed to the Pirate King. When Frederic falls for the lovely Mabel, whose father is the very model of a modern Major General, a tempest brews on the sea of love. Full of roving rogues and dazzling damsels in distress, it's a treasure chest full of mischievous musical mayhem.

Patti LuPone, Bebel Gilberto, Paul Taylor Dance, BROADWAY'S NEXT H!T MUSICAL and More Set for Scottsdale Center's 2013-14 Season (5/10/2013) - Tickets for Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' new 2013-14 season will go on sale to the public on Saturday, May 11, at 10 a.m. Among the offerings are 75 awe-inspiring live performances of dance, music, theater, comedy and more. Additional events will be announced at a later date.

PCA Family Theatre's ADVENTURES OF JAMMY DODGER Begins Tonight (5/9/2013) - This musical presents a group of loving grandparents who encourage their grandchildren to try an old-style adventurous scavenger hunt with fresh air, go-carts & pirates, in order to get the kids away from the sedentary effects of electronic entertainment. The adventure brings the children upon a construction site bent on cutting down the last remaining ancient woods in the neighborhood. Along with the grandparents, the kids find a way to save the woods from the cold and careless construction workers.

THE THREE LITTLE PIGS Runs 5/1-26 at The Great Arizona Puppet Theatre (5/3/2013) - A musical rendition of the traditional tale about the dangers of shoddy home construction and how those pigs must face a big, bad and very hungry (but not-so-smart) wolf, performed with large rod puppets and catchy original songs. This show is lots of fun for the whole family and is one of our most popular performances so be sure to CALL FOR RESERVATIONS!

DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. Opens at Detour Company Theatre, 5/24 (4/30/2013) - The award-winning Detour Company Theatre will present Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on May 24-26. Detour's artistic director will present a pre-show talk on opening night, Friday, May 24, at 6:30 p.m.

THE PIANO GUYS Set for Mesa Amphitheater, 6/12 (4/30/2013) - The Piano Guys: Hailing from Utah, The Piano Guys became an Internet sensation by way of their immensely successful series of strikingly original self-made music videos. They've made 35 since joining forces a little more than a year ago, including their most recent hit video, an innovative 10-handed version of One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful." But it's the Guys' highly original blend of classical music with pop that has really been the cause of an Internet phenomenon that has now brought them to their major label debut album, The Piano Guys, to be released on Sony Masterworks on October 2nd, 2012. The album features more of the imaginative mash-up arrangements that The Piano Guys are already famous for, including sources ranging from Michael Jackson to Mozart, The Bourne Identity to David Guetta. It also includes an original song and innovative takes on hits by One Direction, Adele and Christina Perri.

Connie Whitlock Receives 2013 West Valley Arts Council's Champion of the Arts Award (4/17/2013) - Connie Whitlock, an artist, advocate, educator and visionary, received the 2013 West Valley Arts Council's Champion of the Arts Award at the 20th anniversary Diamond Ball, a Shanghai Soiree, on Saturday, April 13 at The Wigwam, 300 E. Wigwam Blvd in Litchfield Park.

Monterey Jazz Festival on Tour 55th Anniversary Celebration Comes to Mesa Arts Center, 4/26 (4/16/2013) - The Mesa Arts Center will host the longest consecutively running jazz festival, Monterey. Celebrate the Festival's legacy of expanding the boundaries of live jazz presentation on Friday, April 26 in the Ikeda Theater at 8 p.m. Tickets are available through the Mesa Arts Center Box Office at MesaArtsCenter.com or by calling 480-644-6500.
